Ski jump - jet trajectory (3)

  • Ski jump - jet trajectory (3)

Description
This photo shows a ski jump investigation with circular-shaped flip buckets in a hydraulic model at VAW. The water jet downstream of a flip bucket of radius 0.40 m and deflection angle 30° results from an approach water depth of 0.05 m and an approach flow Froude number of 5. Shock waves are generated due to the jet impact.
