Hydraulic jump (4)

Description
Undular jump: h1=0.017 m; Fr1=3.60
The experimental study was carried out in the Costal Engineering Laboratory of the Technical University of Bari, Italy.
The system consisted of a smooth rectangular steel channel 15 m long, 4 m wide and 0.4 m deep, with lateral walls and base made of transparent glass material. Water was supplied from a big metallic tank, placed at the downstream side of the channel, by a Flygt centrifugal electro-pump, of a maximum discharge of 0.1 m3/s.
