Description
Lake George (Australia) on 26 Nov. 1999. Shallow freshwater lake near Canberra. Although the catchment area is 984 km2, the lake has no external drainage. It maintains a delicate balance between rainfall, evaporation and streamflow, displaying wide fluctuations from completly dry (empty) to surface area up to 250 km2.
