DescriptionThis photo shows a ski jump investigation with circular-shaped flip buckets in a hydraulic model at VAW. The water jet downstream of a flip bucket of radius 0.40 m and deflection angle 30° results from an approach water depth of 0.05 m and an approach flow Froude number of 3. The recirculation flow depth below the jet is about half of the drop height. |
