Radder type portable fishway settled in trapezoidal weir in Tama river

Radder type portable fishway setteld in trapezoidal weir in Tama river

Description

The portable fishway was proposed in order that diadromous fishes, shrimps, and crabs can migrate to their upstream and downstream habitats at the weir without a permanent fishway. The proposed fishway can be set on the waterside of a trapezoidal weir with a slope of 26.5 degrees (V 1 : H 2 slope) connecting to bank with a slope of 26.5 degrees (V 1 : H 2 slope). The field investigation revealed the effect of the fishway on the migration of multi-aquatic animals. These results were published in the Journal of Environmental Engineering and Science, National Research Council Canada (Yasuda et al., Vol. 3, No. 5, pp.391-401, September 2004).
