Ski jump - jet trajectory (5)

This photo shows a ski jump investigation with circular-shaped flip buckets in a hydraulic model at VAW. The water jet downstream of a flip bucket of radius 0.40 m and deflection angle 30° results from an approach water depth of 0.05 m and an approach flow Froude number of 10. The recirculation flow depth under the jet is small. The jet reaches the maximum channel height.
