Akashi bridge - Japan
Akashi bridge, Japan.
Connecting Awaji island to Honshu, it is the world's longest suspension
bridge (3.9 km long). Construction started in 1986 and was completed in
1998. The bridge length was expanded by 1 m during the 1995 Kobe
earthquake. Looking from the Northern end on 16 Oct. 2001.
